Why the entire Bible?

Isaiah 54:7

For a moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. --- An amazing passage to the child of God during these final days. God is saying to us, "I know Earthly life is hard and for a brief amount of time on this planet, you can't see me. But when I save you, you will be with me forever."

Isaiah 55:7-8

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will aboundantly pardon.Our God is merciful and if we beg him for mercy, he promises to give us mercy. This is a great hope for us now. The entire Bible is alive for us now, and the Book of Daniel opened. These passages speak to us loud and clear. Read Joel and Amos, they are for us, now, here living in the Great Tribulation.

The Funny - some Catholic school stories

Back in the 60's in church, you could go up to a candle station to light a candle and make a request with Mother Mary's statue watching over it. We put in a penny or whatever we had (think they really wanted 10 cents per lit candle) and light one up for her blessing. I had no money so I wrote an IOU on a little piece of scratch paper I had.
They left a little fire stick around for you to transfer the flame of a burning candle to yours but I couldn't find it so I used the paper IOU. If I could just touch the end of it from another candle's flame and keep the IOU part intact... Of course the paper lit up too quickly and I had to let go of it fast. I did get my candle lit along with several others by accident. What a mess I thought while stamping out the paper on the floor leaving a minor burn mark on the carpet. Checking to make sure the coast was clear, I headed out the side door. Now I owed for a carpet cleaning, lighting 5 candles and almost torching the place. I've heard they have LED's or something like that now, but figure if I go up to that station, Mary may remember.

I kinda thought of the candle station as a wishing well. No one ever explained it to me. I figured, light up the candle and make a wish. What else would a 4 year old boy want in the 60's but a new bike, fire engine, 007 car with an ejection seat, etc. I would watch my Mom light up a candle and then pray a little. Then she would dig up a penny and let me light a candle too, holding my hand steady as I had "a thing about fire." I asked Ma what was better to do, make a wish at a wishing well or lighting a candle. She'd smile and say, "just say your prayers" knowing nothing would register if she tried to explain it. I'd leave thinking someday I'm going to get a whole bunch of pennys and light every candle in the station, then surely something will happen. Well, you read my first story.

Can you trust the translators? When I'm not sure about the translation or I hear people argue over the words in the Bible, I go to the Greek or Hebrew interlinear Bible. Its a wonderful resource that the serious Bible student shouldn't go without. Let's take an example:

Matthew 24:36

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. KJV

About yet the day that and the hour not yet one has perceived not yet the messengers of the heavens if no the Father of me only. GIB

All I can say is WOW, what a difference in translation! There is a BIG difference in no and neither verse not yet. Not yet means someone WILL know at some point. Well, take a quick check for yourself and be sure to put these links in your favorites.

Did God put Key Time Patterns in the Bible and want us to search them out.

The 1/3 - 2/3 Pattern - & The "84" pattern -

1877 BC - Jacob leaves Canaan - to 1447 BC - Israel leaves Egypt = 430 years
1447 BC - 587 BC - Jerusalem destroyed = 860 years (430 x 2)

The tribulation at Canaan was 7 years or 84 months. The tribulation at Judah was 70 years or 840 months.

1447 BC - 967 BC - Solomon builds the Temple = 480 years
967 BC - 7 BC Birth of Christ = 960 years or (480 x 2)

1877 BC to 587 BC = 1290 years

With this 1/3 - 2/3 pattern established, and following the pattern, we see:

587 BC - 1994 AD = 2580 days (1290 x 2)
1877 BC - 1994 AD = 3870 days (1290 x 3)

Coincidence? Are we allowed this inference?

“And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.” (Daniel 12:11)

Numbers in scriptures have meaning just like words.

2 = Witnesses, 3 = God's purpose, 5 = atonement, 6 = number of man, 7 = Completion of God's purpose, 11 = 1st coming of Christ, 13 = End, 17 = Heaven, 23 = wrath or destruction, 40 = testing, 43 = destruction, 84 = tribulation.And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
